This role sits within the financial management and strategy arm of the Markets and Securities Service Technology Chief Operating Office.

The role is crucial in providing a high level of support to the Chief Operating Office Finance Lead, primarily in the areas of financial management and the preparation and dissemination of robust management information to facilitate the effective management of the financial resources of the Organisation, as well as aid effective decision making across all layers of management within the Organisation.

The role also involves proactively liaising with the various business office contacts across the wider Chief of Staff Organisation on all financial related matters and acts as a key interface between the MSST Organisation and other operational partners (e.g. Finance, ICG Admin, CTI, Systems management teams etc.) to drive the timely delivery on agreed SLAs and key deliverables, working to ensure the organisation’s financial targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities include the following:

§Building a comprehensive understanding of the global MSST expense base; tracking and reporting on the financial performance of the Organisation and being a trusted point of contact on finance related matters.

§Working with the various Chief of Staff teams, providing insightful financial and business analyses and developing senior management reports, to define and track key operational metrics to help track performance, drive business decisions, and achieve goals.

§Providing robust analysis and interpretation of data, spotting trends and variances and providing business-focused reporting commentary.

§Producing regular and ad hoc high quality reports in line with agreed reporting schedules and ensuring the timely distribution of these against agreed SLAs and using appropriate dissemination channels.

§Participating in a range of processes to drive the organisation’s global resource and location strategy and the achievement of wider productivity efficiency targets.

§Undertaking operational reporting activities as required, e.g. the production of performance dashboards and scorecards used at all levels within the Organisation up to senior management.

§Participating in the annual budget process and monthly / quarterly rolling forecasts through the year with oversight from the business unit manager.

§Participating in the development and tracking of financial targets (e.g. expenses, productivity, headcount etc.) by which the various asset classes are managed.

§Building a thorough understanding on the complexities of the overall net P&L, having a firm knowledge of the organisation’s software capitalisation process (capitalisation credits, amortisation etc.), client allocations and inter-departmental cross allocations.

§Building and maintaining strong partnerships and relationships with the various business office contacts, finance partners and other key ICG O&T partners.

§Working closely with the Chief of Staff Organisation on ad hoc compliance and regulatory driven activities.

§Facilitating various meetings including regular staff meetings, periodic business and finance reviews and other ad hoc activities as required.
