Description

The EM Trade Support role within the Middle Office support team covers a number of Credit Derivative products and reconciliations. The candidate will primarily be responsible for maintaining the TRS business, acting as the main point of contact for the trading desk and building excellent relationships with our sales desk and external clients.

•Monitoring and resolving daily exceptions to ensure Citi's position and risk are correctly captured at the time of execution

•Liaising with the business to identify and resolve issues, provide trade information and acting as a point of contact for multiple teams around the firm

•Investigating confirmation and settlement issues, trade maintenance and reconciliation of daily trading activities

•Maintaining, developing and improving current processes and procedures

•Identifying and investigating regulatory reporting exceptions, developing a strong understanding of the requirements of the current and upcoming regulatory environment.

•Reviewing daily control reports targeting patterns of exceptions

•Supporting the desk through system enhancements and regulatory or compliance queries

•Individual will be working closely with global trading, sales desk and clients to provide accurate and timely confirmations for credit.

•Liaise between Operations and Technology in order to enhance system processes and accuracy of data

•Focus on Regulatory Initiatives (both current and future) in regards to confirmation matching

•Develop an understanding of key legislation impacting over-the-counter derivatives.

•Participate in projects relating to front to back office system issues

Qualifications

Qualifications:

•Proficient PC skills including Excel and Microsoft packages.

•Strong communicator, able to liaise confidently with internal and external customers and confidently discuss/explain process flows and market practice with desk.

•Basic awareness of financial markets, compliance and regulatory environments

•Ability to quickly gain a full understanding of products and proprietary systems, internal policies and limitations of support groups.

•Ability to focus on the detail and maintain accuracy in a pressurised environment

•Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

•Ability to develop and maintain relationship with stakeholders of all levels from business units and operational groups

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment
