Support a safe working environment, considering company procedures and current legislation
Produce new Inductors, inspect, clean, service and repair existing inductors.
Support the Launch of new products on time ensuring the highest quality
Where required provide support to other factory units or projects as directed by Toolroom/ Inductor shop manager, Team Leader and/or Production leaders
Support to Inductor Leader in day to day Inductor planning and operation of Inductor Department
Build induction heating coils for the induction hardening of components made at BIR
Service, inspect, repair and maintain existing induction coils used on the production areas in both side shaft and propshaft component manufacture.
Create and issue Inductor drawings for new Product Inductors.
Interface with Factory Supervision to ensure necessary inductors are available when required
In conjunction with Inductor Leader identify improvements and aid/lead in execution of resolution.
Proactively seek quality improvements
Identify and execute tooling cost improvements.
Ensure that a safe working environment exists within Inductor Shop and Toolroom
Support set-up reduction programs (SMED) where required
Support concern investigations when carried out.
Ensure system & documentation is maintained to ensure FPPO & parts traceability
Maintain the stock control system
Maintenance of internal systems
