About The Opportunity

The primary function of this role is the translation of customer demands through structured mechanisms, gathering of customer intelligence, weekly production of factory MPS planning, the continuous delivery of outstanding customer service; building of internal and external customer relationships, accurate and detailed analysis, problem solving and value added planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and facilitation of factory master production planning using FAS MS tool

  • Understand and analyse customer schedules and escalate significant non-adherence as appropriate

  • Detailed analysis of customer demand and impact on cell and plant capacity

  • Develop and review stock strategy for all requirements and to ensure item planning parameters are reviewed on a regular basis in FAS MS and Gladius for all items and MFG Pro for finished items

  • Support of NPI function with regards to NPI demand planning, purchase order existence and BOM

  • Creation and facilitation of mid- to long-term production planning using Gladius (SIOP)

  • To ensure that all of the Customer requirements/deliveries are met on time and to provide a high quality of service to all internal customers

  • Support Inbound and Internal Material teams and Perpetual Inventory activities and identify areas for improvement and propose new ways of working

  • Co-ordination of all activities ensuring that all are correctly documented via workflow

  • Participate in phase in/ phase out review and ensure follow up actions in FAS MS, material control team and customer team are carried out in a timely fashion

  • To be responsible for ensuring all Logistics processes are adhered to and to manage, measure and produce weekly plant delivery performance metrics and to continually demonstrate cost awareness within the Logistics team

  • Carry out ISP analyses using Idash tools available

  • Develop and integrate MPS/SIOP/Business Plan via MFG Pro and develop improved methods of planning and forecasting of all requirements

  • To participate in continuous improvement programmes, demonstrate a team working approach and support departmental communication activities

  • Manage requirements from sub-contract process

  • Contact with the planners in the value streams to be sure that MPS is the master for daily planning

  • Support and manage sub contract planner for short and long term planning.
