The HR Solutions team has functional accountability for managing all project activity that relate to the delivery of HR Services. This role has a global remit and has two primary accountabilities:

  • Ensuring that all projects that do not have a business case / dedicated team are successfully delivered within HR Services

  • Ensuring that all system releases are implemented in an integrated and timely way.

The role will be the primary interface between the Product Owner, SMEs and GPOs to ensure that any work of a project nature is scoped, budgeted, resourced, planned and executed successfully with any risks and issues successfully managed. It will also ensure readiness and that appropriate communication and engagement takes place. The role holder will also have primary accountability for ensuring that all projects are delivered with appropriate governance, within agreed budgets and with communication and stakeholder management as required

The role will report to the HR Solutions & Delivery Excellence Lead and will work closely with the Product Owner. The role will be supported by the Process and Governance Support role. The role holder will work closely with the IT function and with all of the HR Services Leaders to ensure that all project work is deployed successfully.

The role will be located on shore in one of the major hubs - Cambridge/Gothenburg/Gaithersburg. Travel may be required.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Leading the detailed scope definition, project delivery planning and mobilization of all projects across HR Services

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans and ensures integration with relevant activity where required

  • Developing and maintains project budgets

  • Developing and implementing appropriate governance across all projects

  • Active risk identification and management including escalation where appropriate

  • Identifying and co ordinating key change management activity across the projects to ensure readiness for deployment

  • Building and implementing readiness activity to ensure all projects are set up for success

  • Developing appropriate stakeholder communication and engagement plans and ensuring these are executed successfully

  • Contributing to the development of global HR standards and processes to support continuous improvement, efficiency and effectiveness of HR as a function, particularly agile project management methodologies

  • Understanding the scope of any technology releases and working with the GPOs/ Product Lead to agree an integrated plan for deployment

  • Agreeing readiness requirements and working across global HR / IT to ensure the criteria are met and ensuring successful deployment

  • Developing and implementing an appropriate level of hyper care where required

  • Evaluating project success on an ongoing basis and making recommendations to address any findings to support a culture of ongoing improvement

Essential Requirements for the role:

  • Educated to Graduate level

  • Proven success of managing global projects

  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives

  • Advanced level of proficiency in planning, change management and problem solving and able to resolve issues of a highly complex and strategic nature

  • Experience of driving and leading innovative solutions

  • Good understanding of all HR Solutions

  • Drives right behaviours across all key interfaces.
