Role

To sell PPG products to new and existing customers in line with Company standards and to achieve monthly and annual sales and margin budgets.

Key Responsibilities * Have a thorough understanding of the Trade Direct segment and Company strategy and ensure this is communicated to customers.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of selling processes as instructed by the Direct Trade Sales Manager and use in all selling situations.

  • Sell Company products and promotions to new and existing customers with adherence to pricing architecture.

  • Proactively sell the services of the local Decorating Centre’s to potential new customers.

  • Knowledge and information sharing with the Specification Development Managers

  • Ensure that customer accounts are settled on a timely basis and keeping customers within their credit limit.

  • Complete and submit report and administrative tasks within timescales and to required standard

  • Maximize sales across all product ranges, maintaining product knowledge and awareness of the market.

  • Contribute towards the Zone Quarterly Business Plans and attend regional and national sales meetings.

  • Maintain regular customer contact and to resolve complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.

    Knowledge & Skills

  • Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent

  • Full Driving License

  • Selling skills, product and competitor knowledge

  • Administrative, presentation and organizational skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Use their own initiative , but have the ability to work as part of a team

    Experience

  • 3 -5 years sales experience
