We are looking for a Scientific Trainee / Study Scientist to join the Metabolism department based at our site in Eye, Suffolk. This role will utilise your strong chemistry knowledge and analytical skills to conduct studies which determine the fate of chemicals within the environment. This is an exciting and fast paced role within a growing team, giving you the opportunity to develop excellent planning and communication skills.

As a Scientific Trainee / Study Scientist at Envigo your main responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct technical and scientific procedures with appropriate training and supervision.

  • Maintain compliance with appropriate regulations (eg. GLP) at all times

  • Undertake study and laboratory related activities to include accurate and timely record keeping

  • Develop scientific and regulatory knowledge related to the conduct of environmental fate studies

  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues and other departments

* The skills and experience we’re looking for are:*

  • Degree level (or equivalent) in Chemistry or related discipline

  • The ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work

  • Problem solving and able to seek advice

  • Ability to work with changing priorities

  • Working to a consistently high standard and meeting deadlines

  • Have worked or have knowledge of a GLP environment
