The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Key Account Manager to join us in Farnborough, UK.In this role, you will be focused on guiding market share and revenue growth for the range of Red Hat solutions within a defined set of accounts, territory, and business vertical. New business development activities, as well as managing existing customers will require your ability to develop and use value propositions to engage at the appropriate levels within prospects who may have little understanding of the Red Hat propositions. You will need to develop, progress, and close multiproduct solution opportunities to meet or exceed targets, and have the ability to coordinate a number of resources efficiently to achieve this goal.
Primary job responsibilities
Sell the complete Red Hat solutions portfolio including professional services to our Public Sector customers
Work closely with and guide a virtual team, including solutions architects, inside sales, and professional services to identify key projects, programs, and opportunities to sell Red Hat solutions
Advise senior IT and C-level executives within Public Sector key accounts and create a long-term partnership with customers
Manage complex sales cycle from prospecting to closing; maintain sustainable revenue across technologies
Develop relevant solutions and propositions within key accounts to establish proofs-of-concepts and implementations of Red Hat’s solutions
Manage the account planning process and delivery of strategic plans
Several years of proven track record of solutions sales experience, with focused on the Public Sector
Experience in consultative customer engagement with a major enterprise software company or in the sales division of an enterprise software reseller
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives at large companies
Broad understanding of the government acquisition process, customer engagement model and indirect procurement models
Ability to maintain a sales mentality in an environment with multiple offerings and solutions
