What You’ll Do
You will be a customer-facing top performer focusing on IOT (Internet of Things) Services solutions within the IOT & Digital Transformation Services business development team. You will strategically position our services with our Sales teams to our top strategic customers. In this senior role the primary responsibility is to drive the growth, strategy, and development of the IOT Services portfolio business in targeted industrial accounts and Smart Cities.
You will be expected to identify and open doors with Sales, Services Delivery Executive's (SDE), Solution Integration Architects (SIA), and other key stakeholders and provide opportunity assessment, engagement creation and secure a paid booking, working closely with key delivery partners, where required. You will also be expected to have a deep understanding of IOT in at least one of the following areas of Smart Cities, Manufacturing and Energy Sectors. You will capture market requirements through customer engagements, support direct engagement with AS Delivery teams to help shape and influence current and future offerings.
Proactively partner with Sales and Region Delivery teams in strategic account planning to proactively identify target customers and solutions
Drive growth, specifically bookings, for our overall IOT services portfolio
Understand the client's business and conduct high impact consulting conversations to increase our services opportunities within an account
For defined priority areas and accounts, conduct yourself as the architectural SME, lead solution business development, position the proper IOT Services while expanding the original ask, maintain pipeline status, be the liaison to delivery to ensure input on scope and resource scheduling

The Global Business Development Organization was created to proactively spur growth in Cisco’s Advanced Services. Working closely with our Sales and Customer Relationship teams, we are making an impact by bringing our deep industrial architectural expertise and consultative skills to the Services discussion.
Who You Are
You should possess deep industrial architectural expertise, specific insight on IOT trends, industry best practices, competitive threats, and have experience of positioning IOT solutions to both technical and executive stakeholders. You should have a thorough understanding of IOT solutions in utilities and/or Smart Cities and be capable of delivering a value proposition to the clients.
Industrial or Cities Experience - Relevant experience working within one or more sectors within Smart Cities, Manufacturing or Energy verticals, being able to drive a subject matter conversation on the customers markets and challenges.
Sales Expertise - Clear understanding of solution selling and the ability to convert consultative pre-sales engagements into a services sale. Ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives using a combination of Cisco and 3rd party solutions/services. Demonstrated experience in pursuing and closing large strategic services engagements into Fortune 500 accounts
Technical Expertise - Demonstrated technical expertise, and knowledge of IOT, with specific knowledge in Smart Cities, Smart Buildings is required in order to provide a comprehensive, differentiated, and valuable level of consulting advice to the client
Executive Presence - Demonstrated success in holding credibility with Sales and Delivery teams as well as with our customers. Ability to engage and build relationships at the executive level
Leadership - Demonstrated leadership and general management skills in all aspects of managing large clients and complex opportunities in a services business, including recommending enhancement to the portfolio, the evolution of the set of services capabilities, the development of new insertion and go to market strategies, and gaining the trust from your internal clients.
Degree in an Engineering discipline plus MBA preferred
Supporting large multinational companies, this role requires up to 60% travel for EMEAR locations with some US travel
