At Fjord, service and interaction design are at the heart of our design process. Our service and interaction designers are a diverse team of strategic, empathetic thinkers and deep interaction specialists who envision and craft experiences from service design to digital product creation. The Senior Service and Interaction Designer leads interaction and service design activities on projects, including client workshops, creative brainstorms, and interaction and service design definition. What responsibilities will you have?

Create products that demonstrate outstanding service and interaction design for our clients and their customers. Drive the development of the discipline and practice in our studios. Lead the definition of interactions and services based on relevant business, technical, and design considerations. Create instant tangibility for the Fjord team and the client through visual storytelling and service and interaction design techniques. Explain, discuss and argue for design decisions effectively. Give effective feedback and direction to more junior members of the team. Manage all interaction and service design activities at the project level. Accurately assess own performance and that of more junior team members. Self-identify career goals and needs. Uncover user needs through research, develop deep insights, generate concepts, and craft how people will interact with the products and services we design Drive service and experience strategy, interface structure, and interfaces at the project level.

Qualifications: What skills & experience are we looking for?

In-depth knowledge and experience of user interface and service design across varied users, business problems, and devices High dexterity in speed and quality with the tools of your trade Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes. Accustomed to working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional team members including engineering, product management, and user research Knowledge of and curiosity about technology and its impact on design solutions Ability to create experience maps, user journeys and service blueprints, interaction models, flows and wireframes, and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes A history of being part of teams who focus on user centered design practices to develop new products and services Understanding of areas of specialization within the greater design landscape, including but not limited to research, visual design, and prototyping. Broaden own skillset into adjacent specializations and refines mastery of primary skillset
