We are looking for a Process Improvement Manager for our UK Transport Process team.
As an integral part of UK Transport operations, the Process Improvement Manager focuses on 5 keys to succeed in scaling the business whilst meeting the UK Transport performance commitments made on behalf of Amazon customers:
Work hard and smart to strengthen standardization and best practice sharing.
Develop local process improvement leaders as multipliers.
Enhance improvement methods and process skills.
Establish focus and prioritization for our business efforts.
Adopt mechanisms generating a shop floor culture of continuous root cause elimination.
Coordination and prioritization of improvement efforts aligned to the business goals.
Plan and drive selected pilot implementations to establish and document new UK standards.
Build a local infrastructure of process expertise across the shop floor and management levels.
Drive leveraging of cross-building process excellence. Interface and maintain a close relationship with UK ACES colleagues.
Work with senior leaders to agree, prioritize, plan, coordinate implementation and follow up on all process improvement activities.
Own 5S workplace organization and Lean activities.
Establish a local culture of continuous improvement and root cause elimination through Daily Kaizen and Standard Work.
Deliver improvement methods and tools for site management and associates. This includes 6-step Kaizen, Six Sigma DMAIC, A3 Problem Solving and Standard Work mechanisms.
Support local Kaizen activity, specifically achieving the targeted business objectives.
Liaise with software team and support projects and rollouts.
Support local site expansion and installations.
Analyze current process performance with senior management.
Identify and share best practices.
Provide ad-hoc support for local operations process defects.
Previous experience in a process improvement role.
Must be prepared to travel - up to 50% travel.
Practiced working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
Experienced in a quantitative role, ideally utilizing Six Sigma methodology.
Strong project management ability.
Work experience within Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and (Lean) Manufacturing industries/ logistics, supply chain and/or transportation industries.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred but not essential)
