Digital acquisition of new card members is the key driver for successful growth in the UK Proprietary Cards market for American Express. This role offers an exciting opportunity within the Digital Acquisition team to drive innovation and results in an industry leading environment across a mix of key digital acquisition channels and products.

The successful candidate will deploy and optimise display campaigns across products and deliver on challenging goals. Experience in Display and campaign management would be advantageous.

Relationship competencies will be key to successfully work with top creative and digital agencies, vendors and external partners, as well as internal colleagues in brand, product, Co-Brand Partnerships and central teams (IMS).

The successful candidate will bring experience in digital marketing, specifically Display, and agency management, a good sense of creative strategies and execution, partner/stakeholder management and excellent project management and communication skills.


  • Planning and execution of display campaigns focusing on always on programmatic, as well as supporting ATL Campaigns, across a range of products - both co-brand and proprietary Cards.

  • Creating display testing structures utilising first party data capabilities

  • Working with agencies, internal stakeholders and AMEX tech teams.

  • Ongoing optimisation and innovation across display campaigns to maximise efficiencies, including reporting, creative execution and cross-channel alignment.

  • Successful delivery against key acquisition metrics and challenging goals.

  • Acquisition display budget responsibility, including planning, allocation, tracking/reporting and invoice processing.

  • Management of creative production and digital agencies and vendors, as well as internal stakeholders.

    Skills required:

  • Experience in display and campaign management as well as strong understanding of programmatic is essential.

  • Knowledge of the programmatic landscape and capabilities.

  • Innovation, creativity and thought leadership with a focus on driving results and a track record of successful project management and delivery.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills. Proven ability to navigate a complex matrix organisation with stakeholders across internal teams and external partners.

  • Good analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment with enthusiasm.
