We are looking for a bright and analytical individual to join our finance team. This position is an apprenticeship which will result in either a level 2 or 3 Accountancy qualification. The overall responsibility of this role is to provide accounting, administrative and clerical services that will ensure the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
What you'll be doing
Opening & Sorting Post daily
Review invoices, sorting and matching them and ensuring that all the information appearing on them is accurate and complete.
Once these requests have been reviewed, the Junior Accounts Payable Clerk processes the invoices onto SAP and prepares invoices for payments, including forecasting.
Responsibility for small inhouse Ledger
Process documents according to the relevant accounting processes and procedures.
Ensure figures, postings and documents are correct and accurate. Ensure that account information is corrected and that errors are noted.
Dealing with occasional vendor queries and escalating complex queries to Managers.
Please note that this apprenticeship is an initial 14 month contract.
What would make you a good fit for this role?
Excellent IT Skills
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above (A levels are desirable)
Ability to work within a team environment and adhere to deadlines.
Proactive individual who has excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Honesty and integrity when dealing with confidential information.
Organised with excellent attention to detail
Displays good problem solving skills
