MAIN JOB PURPOSE

The Business Analyst will support the People Data Centre (PDC) strategic road map by providing insights for decision making. They will make sure the Procurement Team have the information needed to negotiate the best deals and assist with planning and reporting. This is a critical role as the decisions made within procurement can have both immediate and long term significant impacts for the business. The Business Analyst will be provided with unrivalled exposure to various parts of the business, they are fundamental to the decision making process, drive real change and make a genuine difference from day one. They will partner with a diverse and global team that has a fountain of knowledge and is fun to work with. This role will be challenging and rewarding and as a key part of the global PDC Capability Centre, unlocks the increasingly sophisticated and valuable use of the vast amounts of data that Unilever has available at its disposal. JOB SUMMARY

  • Provide end to end finance business partner support to the Procurement Team

  • Assist with procurement financial strategy development

  • Manage the transition of reporting to Unilever requirements

  • Bring finance decision input to all key procurement initiatives

  • Undertake project work and ad-hoc analysis to support the strategic agenda

  • Lead period end close process including flash reporting

  • Produce periodic results and quarterly forecast pack for use by senior leadership team

  • Prepare performance forecasting through quarterly updates, periodic forecast and opportunities & risks analyses

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Primary Traits

  • Academic background (Master’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills (English)

  • Financial modelling and report development (comfortable managing & interrogating large amounts of data and drawing conclusions)

  • Analytical mind-set

  • Structured, logical and organised worker

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to deal with finance and non-finance persons throughout the organisation

  • Diplomatic, transparent and persuasive

  • Experience working in procurement environment ideally in FMCG business

  • Experience in process improvement

  • Challenging, curious and inquisitive mind-set
