Eaton Corporation Apprentice Technician - Test Lab in Leicestershire, United Kingdom

The main task of the Apprentice Technician is to support the running, development and maintenance of the DHK Low Power Test Laboratory at Burton on the Wolds. Working closely with a team of laboratory technicians and engineers to help produce accurate test reports in line with ISO 17025. Support the maintenance of ISO 17025 ASTA recognition and support Eaton MESH requirements.

  • Complete testing activities generated by PROLaunch, incremental development projects, CE technical file testing and competitor evaluation testing through the DHK Low Power Testing Laboratory.

  • Test in accordance to ASTA Intertek ISO 17025 and related fuse standards

  • Assist laboratory technicians and engineers with all appropriate engineering challenges both electrical and mechanical.

  • Assist in the maintainenance and calibration of all equipment used for measurements

  • Maintain the engineering workshop facility in good working order, including maintenance of machinery and tools, consumable supplies and general cleanliness.

  • Work within Eaton safety requirements

  • Participate in external education courses including Level 2 NVQ, Level 3 advanced apprenticeship with consideration to study further
