Why this role matters:
This is an exciting time to join BT Consumer as an Agency Account Manager. This is a core role within the Digital Media commercial team. This role is going to be key to our business in achieving revenue targets and will therefore offer you the fantastic opportunity to make a real difference.
You’ll own every aspect of the agency relationship, from C-suite down. You’ll be making the best recommendations on advertising solutions based on the client’s requirements and working across our internal specialists within programmatic and partnerships. In addition, you’ll partner with agency planners, buyers and comms teams to drive our own strategy and tactical planning to ensure we have a strong voice in market and that we’re positioned effectively to gain maximum share of advertising revenue.
You’ll be required to come armed with your own agency contacts and work to maintain and progress key strategic accounts, keeping those senior agency contacts abreast of key developments, innovations, relevant insights and major trends across the BT platforms (BT.com, BT Sport.com, BT Sport App, BT Wifi, EE). Delivering digital thought leadership within agencies to influence and drive incremental spend. This position provides the right individual the opportunity to build out BT’s agency advertising strategy and so is required to be very proactive and a self-starter.
What you’ll be doing:
Your duties will be wide ranging but ultimately you will be responsible for:
Talking directly with advertising agencies to position BT as a media business with proven digital credibility
Developing account plans for each of BT’s key agency partners to overachieve against annual/quarterly revenue targets
Identifying and proactively partner with ad agencies to drive advertising spend – via IO, programmatic and creative solution spend:o Ability to understand our complex range of products and actively sell our serviceso Come armed with, but continue to build strong relationships with relevant agency teamso Communicate the BT audience/customer offering effectively in market and evangelise this proactively externallyo Look to spot opportunities for BT in market outside of programmatic and creative solutions and work with relevant teams to help grow this revenueo Working to create new business partnerships with agencies and nurture those relationships
We’ll also need to see these on your CV:
Strong ad agency contacts and relationships is extremely advantageous
Min 3 – 5 Years’ experience in developing multi-faceted, creative and data-driven advertising solutions
Demonstrable experience of managing and driving significant growth from key agencies
Self-motivated; exhibits strong self-management and sense of urgency
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with a cross-departmental team
Exceptional writing and presentation creation skills
Exceptional MS PowerPoint skills
You will be a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable advertising product solutions and assist in bringing these solutions to market via relevant relationships and superb selling skills. Strong analytical skills and presentation experience and a strong understanding of display advertising, data-driven solutions and audience targeting is a must.
