Long Description

Role Summary

The role is responsible for the business development and analysis of agency pricing products and commission programs in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) points of sale including the coordination of approvals and implementation. This role ensures that agency programs and products are both market and channel competitive through business analysis, projects and coordination with Revenue Management, Sales Strategy and Sales at both Amercian Airlines and at our Atlantic joint business partners (AJB), namely British Airways, Finnair and Iberia.

This role coordinates and conducts optimisation and deal consultations as well as ongoing deal reviews for both American Airlines and AJB partners agency dicount and commission programs and products with our sales teams in EMEAI.

The role extensively engages with the American Airlines headquarters, our British Airways and Iberia counterparts as well as with the sales teams in EMEAI on both on a day to day basis and through project management as well as the delivery of structured communication and presentations.

Job Qualifications

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • To conduct agency program and product revenue optimisation and deal consultation via business environment and data analysis

  • To manage both AJB partner and American Airlines only agency deal approvals and workflows

  • To manage American Airlines EMEAI account segmentation and portfolio assignments

  • To ensure a high level of focus on customer service and speed to market for the American Airlines and AJB partners field sales team through structured and proactive stakeholder engagement, training and through deal consultation

  • To develop, implement and manage agency off-tariff pricing programs and products including project management and continual stakeholder engagement

  • Recommend new and evolved programs and products through business environment and data review

  • To understand the capabilities of fare filing and fare distribution across Global Distrbution Systems (GDS), direct and New Distrbution Capability (NDC) platforms in different points of sale

  • Understand American Airlines and AJB partners distribution and online selling strategy

  • To develop strong relationships and coordination with the various American Airlines headquarters teams including Sales Strategy, aa.com, as well as both American Airlines and AJB partners sales and revenue management teams

  • To communicate with and provide training and support for the field sales teams at American Airlines and AJB partners

  • To work on ad-hoc projects
