Summary:

Facebook is seeking a regional head to lead financial services partnerships for Northern Europe covering UK, Ireland and the Nordics. The ideal person is passionate about enabling new financial and payment solutions on our platform. The partnerships team at Facebook is responsible for developing and growing financial services relationships with banks, payment networks, schemes and financial instituions across the industry ecosystem. Our partner lead approach takes a long-term approach to growth and value with the ultimate goal of leveraging our platform to offer great products to people. We work cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, marketing and operations teams to develop new capabilities, improve user experience, and reduce barriers that prevent people from buying what they want. The position is full-time and based in our regional office in London.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage existing relationships with banks, financial services providers, payment & technology service providers and other companies in the payments space

  2. Engage with merchant services providers & technology service providers to drive access and world-class capabilities in the digital commerce, payments and account servicing

  3. Establish meaningful relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders - including financial institutions, industry regulators and service providers to provide enriching marketplace solutions

  4. Partner internally with product, engineering, legal, sales, marketing and compliance teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities

  5. Provide industry leadership “voice of industry” within Facebook Inform, influence, support, and execute product and company decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record, with 12+ years industry related experience in financial services, payments, strategic partnership, strategy consulting and/or product management preferred

  2. Strategic thinker that can communicate in a clearly and authentically to influence internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues

  3. Experience working and negotiating with external business partners and vendors on large and complex partnership deals

  4. Strong quantitative abilities and exceptional situational analytical skills balanced with good intuition and high emotional intelligence

  5. Excellent project management ability

  6. capable of leading multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects to completion. Someone with a bias for action

  7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills to small and large gatherings

  8. Ability to communicate and effectively engage at the C-level of partner organization

  9. Experience working in multiple markets is desired, must have UK experience

  10. BA required, MBA or MS Degree or equivalent experience desired
