Job Purpose:

Support the GSG Europe and GSG Global EM Heads in helping devise, shape and execute Client Strategy across the GSG business. Work closely with Senior GSG Banking Management Team, together with Country management teams to analyse coverage effectiveness, client prioritisation, wallet and returns to help provide guidance on client strategy and coverage.

Develop strong relationships internally with key product and business reporting partners, to ensure shared coverage strategy across ICG business.

Job Background/Context:

GSG provides comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services to multinational corporations and financial institutions worldwide. Our bankers are the Relationship Managers who build and grow our long-term relationship with these clients. They orchestrate the delivery of Citi's vast global product platform and develop integrated financing strategies, by acting as a primary point of contact through which our clients utilize our extensive capabilities around the world. Through these efforts, our bankers address our client's most complex global banking needs, helping them solve problems and realize opportunities. GSG, as a pivotal part of Global Corporate and Investment Banking, provides relationship coverage to subsidiaries of multinational companies across 86 countries.

The GSG teams work closely with Global Markets and Treasury and Trade Solutions to provide our clients with best-in-class products, services and execution. At the same time the team works with the Global Risk Management and Global Portfolio Management teams in the management of the bank's risk portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

•Track prioritisation of GSG clients and opportunities

•Prepare regular client coverage maps/decks for Senior Management

•Work in partnership with GSG Country Heads to ensure accuracy of CRM information

•Participate in planning, execution and follow ups of Management disciplines including franchise reviews, client planning, and project specific committees.

•Analysis of account plans for platinum and core accounts to identify trends/gaps/opportunities etc

•Communication with bankers, business managers and product partners on business metrics, incl. client prioritisation, coverage, credit, revenue, pipeline

•Prepare internal presentations, e.g. coverage analysis, wallet analysis, segment overview

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience

•Experience of analysing financial data and financial modelling

•Knowledge of industry and competitors

•Work experience within a financial services organisation

•Knowledge of accounting and finance concepts

Qualifications (Essential):

•Strong academic background.

•Ability to interpret and analyse information and draw out conclusions

Skills (Essential):

•Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

•Ability to work efficiently within a team environments and as an individual contributor

•Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) at all organisational levels
