Magic (Managing All Guest Incoming Calls) is a unique department within some of the bigger Hiltons. It is a combined Call centre and Service centre. The idea behind the department is that the guests only need to make one call – and we will service them.
We now have the exclusive opportunity for you to join our MAGIC team. Being part of our Magic team, you will be the answer for any guest inquiries or needs in our hotel. Pressing the MAGIC button on their phone, they will come straight through to a MAGIC agent. They will be able to advise them on our facilities, book their dinners or take their orders, help them with an early check out or send them that extra pillow.
As a runner in our MAGIC department, you will be giving our guest service they could only find in a 4 star Hilton hotel. You will ensure that there requirements are constantly fast delivered and communicate any storage shortage to the departmental supervisor. Without you, the hotel cannot run!
In this amazing team you will gain exposure to operations and back of house at the same time. You will learn the ins and outs of each department, from housekeeping to reception and from room service to concierge.

What will I be doing?
As a Communications Runner, you will provide consistently-delivered exceptional customer service to Guests, especially as service affects laundry and the transferring and storing of luggage. The Communications Runner interacts with Guests and contributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Ensure laundry support is provided when required, complete with all wash cycles, folding and storage.
Offer consistent, high standard service and assistance to Guests and maintain a lobby presence that offers courteous and attentive service.
Ensure that individual customers and Groups receive fast, efficient and friendly service.
Ensure that either the Communications Manager or Communications Supervisor on duty are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from either the customers or other departments.
Ensure messages and faxes are regularly delivered throughout the day.
Assist with room moves and luggage deliveries following all standard operating procedures.
Ensure the effective handling of guests requests.
Maintain stock rooms and all equipment in immaculate condition
Greet all guests in public areas and rooms in a warm manner
