The Management Accountant will prepare, develop and analyse key financial information, ensuring that the GBG Europe F&A Management make well-informed decisions in order to ensure growth, profitability and future stability. Look to the future and focus on analysing the operational performance of the business, advising on how to pre-empt problems, adapting to changing circumstances, managing and reducing operational costs.

  • Ensure Month-end deadlines are met

  • Ensure stock and costs are accounted accurately

  • Provide value adding analysis to management for decision making

  • Preparing and building Budget and Monthly Forecast.

  • Risk Analysis

  • Monthly Cost Analysis.

  • Support Head of merchandising and merchandising team by provide useful and accurate information for decision making

  • Preparing month end reporting pack, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and commentaries.

  • Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.

  • Analysing financial performance and so contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.

  • Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.

  • Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers.

  • Liaising with business managers to put the finances and accounts into context.

  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.

  • Any other ad hoc analysis & duties as and when required. These may include but not limited to:

  • Inventory Accounting

  • uplift calculation & reconciliation.

  • Preparing and posting journals

  • Balance Sheet reconciliations

  • Inbound costs analysis

  • ACCA/CIMA - At least part qualified

  • Experience in inventory accounting

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

  • Ability to work with large datasets / transactions.

  • Excellent analytical and advanced level Excel skills.
