The Private Credit team originates investments across the capital structure including senior and subordinated debt and opportunistic credit. The Private Credit platform is one of the largest in the world based on fund size and assets under management.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Coverage: Maintaining active dialogue with financial sponsors, management teams and advisors
Origination: Originating investment ideas across the product suite of the Private Credit team via early engagement with sponsors, companies and advisors
Due Diligence and Execution: Engaging in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis, documentation and other analysis to support an investment decision at the MBD Investment Committee
Investment Monitoring: Active monitoring of investments in the portfolio
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Fluency in French is required
Ideal candidate would have between 3 to 4 years of buy-side experience (private credit, public credit, private equity, credit hedge fund, opportunistic/distressed fund) as well as an excellent academic record; candidates with 3 to 4 years of experience in Investment Banking (ideally Leveraged Finance) will also be considered
Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
Passion for fundamental credit investing
Entrepreneurial streak with an ability to drive an idea from start to finish
Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Team player with ability to work in small teams and mentor junior professionals
