YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for a Java Developer with a passion for financial data to join our development team where you will be part of a group responsible for management of reference data. Reference data is critical to everything we do, and by being part of this high-profile group, you will play a key role in expanding our platform and client offering. The financial directive MIFID II further emphasises the need for accurate reference data and you will also play an important role in facilitating trading post MIFID II. The emphasis will be on the development of software to source and distribute reference data for our trading platforms. One key aspect is the continuous improvement of the software required to reconcile and resolve reference data issues before they cause problems. You will also be involved in the analysis, mapping, and testing of various reference data sources required in supporting our MiFID II initiative.

The Equities One Delta Strategists build and maintain Goldman Sach's equities execution service for our high and low touch clients. Our product allows clients to access liquidity from a large range of European, Middle Eastern and African venues in a variety of trading styles such as Macro and Micro Automated Trading, Direct Market Access and Principal Liquidity. Electronic trading is a detail oriented business with high transaction volumes and values which requires robust and predictable solutions. This gives our clients confidence in our ability to deliver on their instructions

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Join our development group to help grow our market share and support our MIFID II initiative through:

  • Designing and implementing new reference data services.

  • Helping us to facilitate our MIFID II initiative.

  • Helping to build a framework to reconcile reference data in real-time.

  • Managing your own projects through the full software development lifecycle.

  • Providing level two support and consultation on systems and processes covered by the group.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong experience developing high-availability, mission critical Java based services.

  • High desire to produce organised, readable and maintainable software.

  • Proven problem solving ability with critical and creative thinking.

  • Effective communicator in both written and verbal mediums.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working on an electronic trading platform, including reference data, market data & FIX.

  • Ability to balance multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer term, strategic focus.

  • Knowledge of Spring, Kafka, JavaScript, Node, SQL and/or Linux would be beneficial
