Overview :

This position is based in Central London and is primarily responsible for the delivery of security services to secure and protect Chevron Corporation personnel and assets in the Europe, Eurasia, and Middle East region. Assets include offices, terminals, upstream facilities (on and off-shore), plants, refineries, and warehouses, many of which are identified as critical assets. The position reports to the Senior Security Advisor and eventually the Global Security Regional Manager.

This position entails significant and sometimes extended periods of travel throughout Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, and Africa. This travel may occur at short notice.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to :

  • Provides security and risk management advice to company leadership.

  • Conducts security and vulnerability assessments at designated company facilities and recommends countermeasures, based on process risk analysis, to mitigate threat and best protect company people and assets.

  • Identify and address training needs and capability gaps within the embedded security function within the region.

  • Advise on and implement best-practice and cost-effective risk-based security policies and procedures.

  • Develops and assesses threat information -in coordination with the analytical team - to determine impact on company staff and operations.

  • Conducts complex and sensitive investigations in accordance with company policy. Implements fraud prevention and detection programs.

  • Provides executive protection for senior company officials and company events.

  • Provides support for crisis management and business resiliency efforts, both for drills and incidents.

  • Maintains and develops working relationships with Business Unit (BU) management, industry peers, government security and law enforcement agencies.

  • Develops security awareness and vigilance programs for company personnel and makes presentations to employees at all levels, including senior management.

  • Performs other duties as determined by Global Security management.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence, military service, corporate or government security.

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher

  • Demonstrated knowledge of protective security and risk management principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with experienced presentation ability.

  • Maintains and develops working relationships with Business Unit (BU) management, senior industry peers, government agencies, and with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies

  • Demonstrated initiative with a proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate others.

  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications.

  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally and on short notice to meet business need.

Desired criteria :

  • Previous supervisory experience.

  • Ability to speak a language other than English.

  • International security experience.
