The Senior Director for Content Strategy is responsible for setting the strategic roadmap for the content strategy team around commercial initiativesconnecting the US teams, and aligning the premium vertical businesses globally.

Overseeing the development andmanagement of sponsorship opportunities the role is responsible for building strong partnerships across the organisation including Sales, Editorial and CNN Digital ensuring strong creative ideas & content are developed which areconsistent across the US and Internationaland aligned to the CNN brand.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Works with and coordinates with the VP/Managing Editor CNNI, VP, Premiums and Operations team to define, set and track revenue-related strategic roadmap around editorial initiatives.

  • Responsible for identifying and consolidating tools, metrics and overall strategy between CNNIC and CNN Digital overseeing the development and management of sponsorship opportunities.

  • Serves as the primary contact for the Senior Sales Leadership team across international sales, overseeing the process for all incoming RFPs and distributing accordingly.

  • Responsible for identifying and setting direction on Playbooks and working in conjunction with the Director, Strategy & Operations on priorities, premium businesses, CNN video and GBS internationally.

  • Partners with Editorial leaders across the International regions to ensure sponsorship ideas, are well coordinated with their editorial teams.

  • Works closely with Domestic CNN Digital teams to help leverage global opportunities, where appropriate.

  • Plays a key part of the overall performance of direct reports including talent acquisition, performance management, career development and creating a high performing culture, as appropriate.

What we’re looking for:

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience leading a team within the media industry
  • Experience working with branded content and digital editorial
  • Understanding of digital content development and distribution at a Managerial level
  • Can demonstrate an ability to lead across multiple levels of an organisation
  • Strong communication, analysis and project management skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • BA/BS degree and/or related discipline experience
