Amazon’s Transaction Risk Management Systems (TRMS) team is seeking a Content Strategist to deliver and manage end-to-end content. Content here includes pre-text emails, standard operating procedure documents, and other worldwide communications. This role is located in London, United Kingdom.
The TRMS Knowledge Management team is responsible for creating, managing, and updating internal and external content for all Amazon geographical locations. The team works to make it easier for TRMS investigators to do their daily job. We measure success by having clear and simple content that solves issues before a user question arises.
You will be responsible for developing a long term strategy and execution plan for all content specific to select verticals. This includes all aspects of the content lifecycle: creating, maintaining, integrating and governing our content in addition to improving discoverability.
Your focus will be providing an unparalleled content experience for our end users, which is also made available to them in their local language and adapted for their culture and market. You must be able to manage across numerous business models and create certainty out of ambiguity while having a firm grasp on the operational, financial, and technical aspects of the content development required for each new and existing application.
You will work with global stakeholders to drive the right content management plan and structure to ensure consistency of voice and communication quality across multiple content types, and addresses the long terms goals of the business. You must be a self-starter who is passionate about providing high-quality content, working in a technical, fast-paced environment, and innovating to create process and technical solutions to problems.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will have a proven track record in using data to guide decisions, prioritize, and act upon the information received.
Substantial professional working experience managing content
Proven professional working experience with technical writing or documentation
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities at once
Proven ability to work independently or in ambiguous circumstances
Demonstrated success at learning and explaining business processes
Good judgment and open communication
Experience in change management for different audiences across multiple geographies
Experience in a multi-language publishing environment, including globalization for translation, terminology databases and management, and other world-ready approaches
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholder needs in a fast paced environment across
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Information Management, or similar field
Experience with or exposure to Amazon Retail business process
Experience with localization processes
Experience with DITA and content management systems
Strong editorial background and exceptional skill in proofreading and creating, implementing, and ensuring adherence to technical style guides
Working in a global team environment
