Job Description / Information
The Field Service Logistics Specialist is an integral part of the Stryker Sustainability Solutions team that delivers a collections service as part of a broader remanufacturing programme to hospitals in the UK. This role will also assist with process refining and some customer education and marketing activities.
The role is full time for 5 days per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collects, packages, and ships recyclable single-use medical devices from assigned accounts
Helps implement collection process via education and ongoing marketing (using collateral) within hospitals
Effectively answers questions regarding Stryker Sustainability Solutions from customers, usually hospital staff.
Refines the collection process to make the service as efficient as possible whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
Work closely with Sales Manager,/Sales Representative to determine collection points and schedule
Update scheduling system to ensure activity and collections have been logged in the area
Orders and ensures appropriate levels of supplies for the country based on collection needs
Collect information in hospital accounts and pass to the team to help drive growth and new business in existing and new accounts
Ensures proper Stryker Sustainability Solutions' branding is present at collection sites
Adheres to hospital protocols and company policies and procedures to protect self and others from exposure to safety and health hazards
Qualifications (Education, Certifications and/or Experience)
Service-oriented personality with strong customer service skills
Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Computer literate and working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferable.
High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
But also thrives in a fast-paced, team environment.
Diligence and attention to detail at a high level required.
Physically able to lift up to 8kg on a regular basis during the day.
Valid UK driver’s license.
Experience working in a hospital environment preferred, but not essential
Employee must be able to travel between office, healthcare facilities, and other points. A band 1 company car is provided.
Work is performed inside and outside exposing the employee to various weather conditions .
Work is performed in healthcare facilities with potentially contaminated medical devices exposing the employee to blood-borne pathogens and related health hazards.
Work requires the use of varying levels of personal protective equipment (including, gowns, masks, gloves, foot protection, and safety glasses.)
Walking, standing, and sitting are required and to be mobile when working or traveling between office, healthcare facilities, and other points.
Mental acuity is required to execute written and verbal instructions, review and prepare detailed reports, and process problem solving and decision making transactions.
Visual acuity is required to review written and electronic communications and safely handle contaminated medical devices.
Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination is required to operate computers, handle medical devices.
