MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Technical Client Specialist (Client Technologies SME) is responsible as an SME, for supporting the Solutions & Capabilities Manager in setting the technical strategy and for the delivery of client technologies within Unilever. Understanding and following industry trends and providing Technical Solutions and operational support where required.

The Senior Technical Client Specialist is accountable for keeping the environment current, security compliant and operationally stable through the implementation of change. Examples of Technical Solutions delivered recently are; Windows 10, Office 365 Client Software upgrades, SCCM upgrades and Mac Solution Development.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and external vendors and suppliers to understand client products and solutions within the marketplace.

  • Assist the Solutions & Capabilities Manager (Client) with providing input in to the Mobile & Devices Roadmap.

  • Ensure that IT Security, Audit requirements and requirements from other Service Lines are taken in to account when designing the solutions.

  • Ensure the Technical Solutions the team develops meet the requirements, fit in with the broader Unilever Strategy, conform to industry best practice and are thoroughly documented.

  • Ensure activities are fully delivered against scope and quality and are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Engage stakeholders, raise changes, work with suppliers and vendors and engage other teams within Unilever to deliver components of the Technical Solutions.

  • Ensure progress reports are provided, risk and issues logs maintained and activity is tracked against scope, budget and time.

  • During implementation and pilot testing, provide support to ensure that incidents and problems are identified, diagnosed, analysed and resolved.

  • Testing of Solutions prior to handover in to Projects or BAU

  • Build strong cross-region and cross service-line relationships to ensure that solutions are fully understood, planned and executed by project delivery and BAU support teams.

  • Ensure Technical Solutions are properly documented and that and any open activities, risks or issues are transferred across.

  • Ensure activities are properly closed down, SharePoint repositories populated and any learnings documented.

  • As a Subject Matter Expert, and provide 3rd line and escalation support to other teams within the Service Line for the client Technical Solutions.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Client IT experience within at least one other similar global organisation with proven experience in designing and delivering Client Solutions

  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 within an Enterprise environment

  • Experience using SCCM to manage hierarchy and to deploy software operating system patches within an Enterprise environment

  • Experience configuring, installing and supporting Office 365 and other standard applications within an enterprise environment (eg Edge, IE, OneDrive, UEV, Adobe Reader, Virus Scan)

  • Experience creating technical documentation

  • Familiarity with Windows services and components (Dart, Bitlocker, DFS, DNS, IP Addressing, DHCP, Certificate Management, MBAM, Hyper-V, Azure, ADFS, Intune, Active Directory)

  • Sufficient appreciation of Mobile and Devices services in order to identify opportunities for enhancement of the environment, and to assess proposals arising from the team, and others.

  • Excellent communication and team building skills.

  • Ability to escalate and report failures.

  • Ability to use agile working practices and tools to successfully work with remote teams.

  • Working knowledge of Service Management (ITIL) and Project Management
