This is an Interim position, initally for 3 months to support with the Operational Projects and support the wider HRBP model in the South West and London.

You will support the people strategy in a designated area – ensuring it aligns to the overall business and wider HR strategy.

Key Responsibilties include:

  • To work in partnership with the COE’s to determine the key activities

  • Accountable for the successful implementation of all business change e.g. Tupe, Insourcing, Redundancy

  • Drive forward the Talent & Succession plans across your business area, coach leaders to ensure they are able to mentor talent within their business area.

  • Identifying development needs and supporting learning activity .

  • Support employee engagement with engagement planning and driving engagement initiatives, for employees, couriers, sub depots and parcel shops. To facilitate and support engagement sessions where required

  • Advise and coach line managers, to ensure their teams are effectively resourced, support with recruitment activity, ensure induction and probation processes are carried out

  • Coach line managers to identify people issues and manage them e.g. performance issues.

  • Participate in Job Evaluation processes, identify pay issues at local level and escalate to the COE to develop a solution in partnership.

  • Work with COE to roll out change / new initiatives from across the business. Provide instant and immediate feedback on all HR processes, procedures and initiatives

  • To partner effectively with leaders of the business

  • To support all the Central activity including Personal Development Review, Pay Review calibration across the organisation

  • To build an effective relationship with the union and take accountability for driving key actions from union sessions

  • To interpret People data to drive performance of the business unit and to drive change across our organisation (e.g. exit interview data)
