Job Description

A chance for an accomplished Business Analyst with an IT background to grow their leadership skills. Today, you’ll leading teams and projects to ensure first-class compliance. Tomorrow, you’ll help us to build a stronger, more collaborative Business Analysis community.

About the role

Your immediate challenge is to support Shell Trading and Supply's Global Compliance department, ensuring that our regulatory and compliance risks (whether internally or externally driven) are well managed, and that we’re operating a fit-for-purpose compliance regime. Alongside day-to-day analysis (from capturing and translating requirements through to testing, scope changes and final solutions) you’ll relish leading teams and projects, setting the pace on strategic initiatives and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and suppliers.

There’s wonderful scope here for someone with vision and ideas to bring a fresh perspective to the way we resolve business problems; to championbest practice, introduce improvements, coach others and, ultimately, contribute to building a strong Business Analysis community.


What’s required?

An analytical problem -solver with a background in IT (and ideally a related degree), you’ll need to convince us you have good experience in engaging with the business stakeholders understanding their landscape, providing strategic solutions. Demonstrate prior experience of collaborating with related inter-IT teams, troubleshooting, publishing emerging business trends, bringing in business efficiency would be key ask.

Alongside natural people skills and a growing ability to include, inspire and influence others, your experience and understanding includes as many of the following as possible:

  • Developing cost/benefit analysis and building business cases.

  • Analysing the alignment between business requirements and system capabilities

  • Systems engineering concepts and data/process analysis and modeling.

  • Familiarity on Agile projects

  • Lean Practitioner training (ideally)

  • CBAP or PMI-PBA certification (ideally)
