Solvay Sales Account Manager for Composite Materials in United Kingdom

/In order to strengthen our European Aerospace Sales Team, we are currently looking for a Sales Account Manager for our GBU Composites Materials. The successful applicant will work closely with Technical Service, Applications Engineering, Product Line Management and Operations teams to meet or exceed all customer expectations in the defined territory (UK, North of Europe and Israel). The position will be home office based or located in Heanor or Wrexham, UK. A training period is foreseen in Wrexham, UK./

Major responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships at various organizational levels at Key Accounts, both Commercial and Technical.

  • Formulating, developing and achieving the annual sales budget and a majority of medium and long term growth opportunities for accounts where the role involves "technical selling" including for composite development centres. Responsible for monthly updates to rolling forecast and to report variances to plan on a monthly basis.

  • Leading the proposal and pricing process. Follow-up and report on a monthly basis the status of key quotations and proposals.

  • Managing customer and competitor database such that trends are recognized and communicated. Develop the subsequent proactive strategies, or changes needed to defend position & grow market share.

  • Support business, marketing and NBD persons in the development and implementation of business line strategies.

  • Monitor and maintain a profitability standard at assigned accounts consistent with overall company strategy.

  • Technical/Engineering or Business degree with at least a first experience in Technical Service, Technical Sales, Business Development or Program management in Composites, ideally in Aerospace.

  • English fluent
