Financial Services Solution Consultant for Oracle’s Cloud Customer Experience Solutions

A

vacancy exists for a senior solution consultant for Oracle’s cloud

customer experience applications in the financial services industry.

This

role is to support the Oracle sales team in winning major CX Cloud

business from both new name and existing customers. To be successful in

this role, the candidate must be able to establish strong, credible

relationships with senior stakeholders up to ‘C’ level in the

prospective financial services organisations, and be able to effectively

communicate the value of the Oracle CX propositions to those

customers. This role would suit a candidate who has mainly client-side

experience and is now seeking a career move to a vendor.

Therefore we are looking for candidates with the following profile;

  • Relevant Financial Services industry experience; over 10 years working

in or with the financial services industry with a direct role in

multi-channel customer engagement or CX strategy.

  • Ideally, the

candidate has had involvement in CX-led digital transformation; likely

roles include senior positions in Customer Experience, Customer

Acquisition, Customer Care and Digital Strategy.

  • Strong

communicator; Candidate must be confident in developing and presenting

business propositions around Customer Experience, relevant to senior

business stakeholders in a customer.

  • Solution skills; the

candidate needs to be able to show the ability that they are capable of

designing technical solutions based around Oracle’s CX solution suite

that are convincing and compelling in addressing the prospect’s business

issues.

  • Leadership and team co-ordination skills. Although the

role is as an individual contributor, there are many wider resources

within Oracle to co-ordinate and lead as part of the sales team, so the

candidate must show experience and ability to do this.

About the role

The

role will be working with financial services organisations in the UK’s

top 100 companies to shape their strategic change agenda and future

direction. The solution consultant is expected to be able to work as

part of larger sales team working to win new CX cloud business. The SC

role typically involves taking ownership of the proposed CX solution,

making sure it is fit for purpose, addresses the client's needs,

effectively brings to life the key benefits and shows innovation to the

client’s business opportunities. Although the development of such

solutions is done by a wider team the Solution Consultant is expected to

be able to effectively position and demonstrate it back to the

customer.

  • Cloud CX Solution design

  • Creation and articulation of the business value linked to proposed solutions

  • Delivering high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations.

  • Responding through written proposals

Working as a Solution Consultant at Oracle

The

SC role at Oracle provides a varied and exciting environment to work

in. It gives you a high degree of individual responsibility as an

individual, but within the wider remit and opportunities of working with

a true multi-national organization. The SC role also allows for a

spectrum of skills from the very technical to the very business focused

and the chance to learn and extend in either direction.

We expect

our SCs to work in a committed way with our customers and prospects,

but within this there is a high degree of working flexibility allowed.

We encourage a mix of working in an office environment to engender team

working (and there are offices throughout the UK), and working from

home. Travel to clients is often required and the need to stay overnight

occasionally required, but our SCs are not expected to be away from

home for extended periods. We also expect our staff to be self-motivated

and committed to their work and trust them to organize their schedules

themselves.

Although the role is UK based there is the

opportunities for those people who desire it, for working in other

countries (primarily, but not constrained to Western Europe).

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
