We are looking to recruit a top class graduate who intends to establish their career in the finance sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a small and dynamic Finance team at our global headquarters in central Edinburgh.
This is a VIE position, working as a Junior Reporting & Business Controller. The main purpose of this role is to support Financial Planning and Analysis with their daily tasks and take an active part in Finance led projects. You will be responsible for preparing regular and ad-hoc business presentations and building excel files to automate processes and controls. You will also be expected to liaise with external and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal coordination.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Support the Reporting Controller to ensure the accuracy and consistency of distribution companies data and consolidated figures (Actual & Forecast).
Participate in the monthly reporting/input process of MH & LVMH systems.
Support preparation of forecast processes.
Build and run a set of Excel files to automate monthly reporting controls.
Liaise with central marketing team to ensure accurate and meaningful advertising & promotion reporting.
Yearly update of Transfer Price documentation.
Assist with the implementation of a new reporting process for internal sales/requisitions.
Preparation of regular and ad-hoc Business Analyses & Presentations.
Consolidation of key commercial and marketing information from worldwide distribution companies to provide a qualitative monthly update on business performance.
Take an active part in analysing non-financial & competitor data (International Wines & Spirits records & NIELSEN)
Lead the Retail Selling Price project; own and maintain the price tracker and related set of analysis, and highlight price positioning of Premium+ Malt actors in key markets.
Support International Business Analyst (IBA) as required, helping Business Development Manager's and marketing to simulate financial impacts of various scenarios.
Explore Business Intelligence (Cognos) and create reports to better monitor the activity at sku/client level.
Support International Business Analysis on drafting business cases for New Product Launches (P&L / KPIs).Profile
Technical Skills & Experience Required:
Master's Degree - Business / Engineering background
Finance specialization / Accounting knowledge
Strong knowledge of information systems (Essbase / VBA is a plus)
Excellent PC Skills (Excel and PowerPoint at advanced level)
1-2 years relevant experience within finance team environment
Fluent English, French an advantage
