Purpose of the Position:

The Regional Sales Director is accountable for new business growth in both existing and new target customers across EMEA. The primary goal is to achieve/exceed CenturyLink’s sales targets and build a long term sustainable business. Responsibilities include formulating and executing a growth plan that takes market share.

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience and success in leading a sales team to over achieve. This person will be have a strong sales execution pedigree, understand what the team needs to succeed, possess strong communication skill and have strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • New Business Sales Bookings

  • Deliver on business growth commitments

  • Manage highly competitive workloads through joint strategic sales planning enabling the capture of new market share in key markets

  • Take competitive market share through detailed planning and opportunity execution

  • Maintain monthly pipeline of competitive opportunities and drive deal and business velocity

  • Drive higher productivity across all specialist roles

  • Build increased organization capability by coaching high quality hires, mentoring and onboarding

  • Work with relevant internal resources (field marketing, product marketing, product management, etc.) to drive revenue growth.

  • Manage and motivate a sales team and be able to deliver results through others

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant experience with Direct Sales or Business Development related experience with complex cloud or related IT managed services solutions.

  • Experience in selling in to retail, media and entertainment verticals.

  • Exceptional organizational skills for the coordination of deal activities and flawless execution of business plans.

  • Success in developing and executing impactful sales programs and initiatives in collaboration with other internal organizations.

  • Possess advanced management skills and the ability to effectively manage in-region sales by being a charismatic motivator and thought leader.

  • Demonstrate the ability to gain trust, negotiate business objectives, and work directly with a broad group of senior managers.

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and interest in creating new business models and uncovering untapped market potential.

  • Provide thought partnership and analytical understanding to important business decisions.

  • Demonstrable success selling to C- Level executives.

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and out performing sales targets.

  • Excellent communication skills to include: verbal, written and presentation.

  • Drive and a high level of energy as well as strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • Energy, integrity, and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to co-ordinate and utilize internal resources to effectively support and maximize sales opportunities.

  • Understand and stay current with the competitive and industry landscape

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of business drivers and needs relating to CenturyLink solutions and product offerings.

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and quickly gain respect among subject matter experts within the company and team with US counterparts on strategy development as well as global client programs

  • Be bottom-line oriented, budget-conscious, and metric/measurement driven.

  • Successful sales leadership experience managing senior sales professionals

  • Bachelor Degree, or equivalent, in Business or related field required – MBA, or equivalent, preferred
