As part of the Responsible Designer for the Hinkley Point C project, our client provides Engineering Design support for the Balance of the Nuclear Island (BNI).

We are seeking a hands-on, proactive and organised Documentation Assistant with the ability to work with electronic tools and platforms ideally in a project engineering environment.

The Documentation Assistant will:

  • Provide support for the management of documents using a Document Management System (GED)

  • Check the quality of documents to ensure they meet the Project and Company Standards

  • Support the management and update of a Tracker

  • Ensure the correct distribution of deliverables

  • Manage document storage and archiving

  • Provide support to the Engineers with administrative tasks such as creating transmittal reports

  • Provide support to the Document Control Team

  • Reports to: Engineering Team

  • Note2: Based on our Client site Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week.



  • Educated to “A” level standard or above

  • Knowledge of electronic document management systems and other electronic tools and platforms

  • Previous working experience within a document management environment

  • Fluent in English, verbal & written

  • Proficient in MS Office & Outlook


  • Experience of working in a fast paced engineering project environment

  • Knowledge of French language

The candidate must be hands-on and able to multitask. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Highly organised and able to work towards tight deadlines. Excellent written communication skills, conscientious, attention to detail. Can-do and questioning attitude
