Microsoft Research Cambridge (UK) is searching for an exceptional researcher in the area of machine learning and artificial intelligence to work as part of a multidisciplinary team tackling challenging research questions. The researcher is expected to develop a programme of research in novel techniques to provide strong security and privacy guarantees for cloud-based machine learning and artificial intelligence systems. The researcher will join a project team that brings together researchers with backgrounds in machine learning, security, operating systems, and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Design an program of original research to advance the state of the art in computer security and privacy

• Design, run, and evaluate the results of scientific experiments

• Design and implement new algorithms in experimental computer systems

• Prepare papers for publication in scientific journals and conferences

Qualifications

Must have:

• PhD or close to completion in Computer Science

• Experience in security and cryptohraphy

• Expert understanding of state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence

• Strong publication record
