We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to work on automated cash handling machines in and around Swindon. This role will be suited to somebody who has previously worked on ATM’s, Printers, Photocopiers or similar electro-mechanical devices. Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge of electronics & the use of engineers’ diagnostic tools including multimeters, soldering tools & be able to answer questions on engineering fundamentals such as Ohm's law. The employment offer to the successful candidate will be subject to passing a security clearance. This will include a full Financial & Background check.
Be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of our machines
Ability to work independently & exceed customer expectations & organizational objectives.
Diagnose system problems in minimal time & make accurate repairs.
Handle customers in a professional manner during difficult high-pressure situations.
Excellent follow through in meeting commitments, deadlines & resolving escalations.
Excellent time management & organizational skills to maximize productivity.
Excellent driving & safety record operating company vehicles.
Make recommendations for improving the service, reliability & performance of our equipment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSQualifications:
Must have a recognised engineering qualification with post qualification experience in a support role (BTEC, HNC, HND or equivalent)
Valid driver’s licence, with a good driving record
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Good working knowledge of PC hardware & be PC literate.
Experience in a similar customer facing environment working to achieve customer service levels.
Strong communication skills
Ability to problem solve
