Engineering Technicians Glenrothes Summary of Role: Engineering Technician based in the Systems Manufacturing department, supporting a Space Grade Manufacturing Program. Role is primarily focused on the Quality & Integrity of the Manufactured Product and of the Effectiveness & Efficiency of the Manufacturing Processes. The Technician is responsible for ensuring instructions on production and rework tasks are accurately documented and controlled. Responsible for the effective communication of operational instructions to the Manufacturing Operation. Main Duties: · Effective member of the Engineering team in support of the manufacturing IPT. · Use Process and Product data, with Engineering input to create rework instructions. · Use experience and product knowledge to make recommendations on the optimum methods for product rework. · With guidance from Production Engineers, use experience and product knowledge to ensure the process is set up and suitably equipped to run production operations · Use data to support the team’s drive to solve problems with Systemic Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action. · Participate in regular Production team and Manufacturing Engineering sub-team meetings · Support the Program Cells and the rest of the Engineering community when required · Support Engineering team · Where required participate in NPI activities and reporting Candidate Requirements: Essential: · Engaged and energetic individual · Good written and verbal communication skills · Able to create meticulous and accurate working instructions About Raytheon: Raytheon UK is a subsidiary of Raytheon Company.
