Purpose of the job

Preparation, compilation and submittal of the Project Completion Dossier (PCD) in line with the Project requirements and specification. Raising of the pre-commissioning punch list from the MC check records (MCCR) in co-operation with the client’s inspectors. Clearing of the punch list at either Sulzer or as carry over work as the clients site to the client’s acceptance and sign off.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Review of Mechanical Completion (MC) requirements and specifications defined by the project specific PO,

  2. Coordinate all project MC inspection activities including internal and external MC activities,

  3. Provide technical support throughout the construction activities, leading up to and during the manufacturing stage until the package is mechanically complete,

  4. Mark-up P&IDs for different pipe classes and produce the pipe test packs, to be added to the project specific PCD,

  5. Create, issue and maintain the flange management drawings, to be added to the project specific PCD,

  6. Review of supplier PCD,

  7. Perform all work related to the completion of the MCCR's as defined in the project specific MC procedures and specifications,

  8. Ensure all relevant drawings/documentation are attached to the project specific PCD,

  9. Compiling and managing the project specific PCD and issuing to the customer once complete,

  10. Coordinate between all departments, including engineering, purchasing, quality and operations to clear and MC activities,

  11. Add any punches/non-conformance into the PCD and coordinate the clearance of it prior to dispatch of the package

  12. Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Engineering apprentice or experience

  • Good computer skills

  • Rotating equipment or similar package experience

  • HNC/Equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering

  • Relevant experience within related industry including knowledge of industry practices & standards

  • Experience of managing large and complex packages

  • Project/Business management
