You'll play a vital role in helping us to deliver a best-in-class consumer comms and marketing strategy by putting the customer at the centre of all of our decision making.
What you'll be doing
Implement data strategies to optimise customer communication across all channels
Propose and define customer lifecycle segmentations using demographic, transaction, interaction and behavioural data from across digital and non-digital channels and consumer product portfolios.
Brief the build of these segmentations into analytics and data management teams and ensure that they are available in the right place at the right time to drive Marketing plans
Evangelise and encourage the adoption of these segmentations across all marketing activity through the creation of accurate and timely marketing briefs
Work with Marketing teams to create targeting strategies, customer journeys, messaging and contact rules across DM, EM, SMS, Digital and Social channels.
Adoption of a robust Campaign Briefing Process that facilitates a customer centric approach to marketing communications.
Bring together the data planning activities of disparate teams into a single approach, which ensures consistent joined up messages to BT Consumer’s customers, and optimum use of BT’s data assets.
Own the weekly and monthly campaign governance forums thus ensuring that there is an alignment in monthly campaign capacity and business priorities / demand.
Add value by challenging briefs and existing approaches in a collaborative manner with marketing stakeholders.
Be the face of BT Consumer’s data. Advertising its presence and evangelising it’s use to drive constantly improving customer experience and better campaign performance.
Identify and address data gaps and opportunities
Assess marketing plans against data to identify gaps and initiate solutions (for example website tagging, customer databases and data source availability; planning the mix of 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data).
Conduct regular reviews of marketing universes and the campaign landscape to identify potential opportunities for new or improved contact strategies that will the drive key organisational objectives.
Come up with innovative data and consent capture opportunities, and work with the relevant bits of the business to implement.
Own and lead data planning initiatives that will lead to growth of our marketing universe, better campaign personalisation and performance.
We'll also need to see these on your CV
Ideally experience in a data focused role within an agency / client side with diverse industry exposure.
Technically confident, a fluent user of databases and statistical tools with a proven ability to write and develop database code (ideally SQL). Strong Excel skills (VBA is a bonus).
Experience of data planning and customer lifecycle strategies in large, complex and recognized brands, preferably including telecoms/FMCG.
Possess the confidence, gravitas and influencing skills to bring about changes in CRM strategies.
A passion for data planning and ability to tell stories with data. You need to be able to communicate in a simple and engaging way drives understanding and compels the business to take action up to a Head of level.
High numerate and analytical mindset with considerable experience in analyzing large sets of data.
Knowledge of CRM processes such as data capture, data quality assurance processes and data protection legislation.
