Personal Care is Unilever’s largest category with a 25 billion EURO turnover, including big brands such as Dove, Rexona, Axe, Lux, and Sunsilk.

Personal Care is investing heavily in digital communications in 2018. Unilever as an organisation has recognised that the digital infrastructure to enable optimal digital communications for its brands needs a higher focus.

To that end Personal Care will put in place a new digital transformation team to rapidly upgrade and move all brands to the forefront of industry digital communications, globally.

Led by the Digital Transformation Director, Unilever is looking for a Senior Digital Project Manager to aid the delivery of great digital communications via content, tech and innovation. The role will work closely with internal teams and external agencies across Personal Care (PC) brands to deliver new digital infrastructure and comms. The role will be supported by an Assistant Manager.


  • Plan, deliver and optimise the Adobe website design and build for PC brands - including UX, Design, Build/Content migration management consultancy, to key milestones and timelines

  • Deliver localisation of websites in lead markets

  • Key decision making – on behalf of and alongside the brands

  • Agency and internal stakeholder management – manage weekly all agency status meetings, monitor timelines, review and manage budget. Weekly programme updates to senior stakeholders

  • Track the high level end to end project plan and ensure milestones are met on time

  • Escalate risks and holding work stream owners accountable for delivery

  • Track the repeatable model and ensuring learnings and common themes are applied across the category


  • Senior project manager with experience of website and technical digital builds

  • Experience of working with digital agencies

  • Wider understanding of brand communications

  • Experience of managing teams


  • Confidently manages all aspects of end-to-end delivery of the creative work across all parties

  • In-depth understanding of and experience in digital technology

  • Collaborates with stakeholders from project conception, and throughout project planning all the way through to delivery

  • Manages the project plan, budget, delivery and proposals from the assigned suppliers

  • Manages multiple projects and/or work streams

  • Sets up metrics and evaluation criteria for all work

  • Tracks and manages financial profitability and manage financial forecasting for assigned projects

  • Continuously evaluates and develops quality of work and brand satisfaction, following up with appropriate action

  • Confident, proven supplier management and facilitation skills - experience in nurturing and growing relationships

  • Facilitates a friendly, trusting, effective and collaborative working relationship with any stakeholders, preferably with global markets experience
