Position Description: IC4, Oracle NetSuite, EMEA (UK based)
Oracle is seeking an exceptional Senior PR & Communications Manager to design, drive and execute communications plan and programs for its NetSuite global business unit. This individual with lead and implement all NetSuite PR and communications programmes in EMEA, ensuring global consistency, local impact and also ensuring that NetSuite is integrated and represented in, Oracle’s broader communications activities.
Tightly linked with global NetSuite teams as well as country leadership, marketing and sales functions, the role will create, integrate and execute communications programs to support the business and provide strategic communications counsel.
The position requires a passion for ‘consumer’-style storytelling and being able to turn technology-centric news into stories interesting for broad audiences. Must have a proven track record of developing plans, executing campaigns and delivering strong results/impact.
This person is expected to build and maintain relationships with key media, bloggers, and social media influencers across EMEA and should be highly organized, energetic, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent writer, be able to work within a complex matrixed business and be able to work cross functionally to drive teams towards a common goal. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience driving campaigns into multiple markets and working virtually with colleagues and agencies across the region.
This position is based in UK and will work very closely with the Global Oracle NetSuite PR team, the EMEA marketing director as well as Oracle EMEA PR and local in-country marketing and agency teams. As a key role within the Oracle NetSuite team, this position will directly report to the global communications lead for NetSuite and dotted line to the EMEA NetSuite marketing director. The role will require some travel in EMEA and occasionally to North America.
Role & Responsibilities
Set the communications strategy in key EMEA markets to support Oracle NetSuite’s overarching business priorities. Strategy to be set in consultation and co-ordination with the NetSuite EMEA marketing director and the global Oracle NetSuite PR lead.
Provide expert counsel in combining traditional and social communications programs into a single cohesive approach to build credibility and demonstrate leadership.
Drive measurable collaboration across Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand Communications to ensure communications plans, narratives and content deliverables are used to maximum effect.
Identify and help shape interactions with NetSuite EMEA influencer communities by surrounding them with a flow of news, opinion, commentary and expertise.
Direct and manage PR agency resources to create successful integrated campaigns in-market and at a regional level.
Direct the development and/or develop a variety of content, from social media posts to thought-leadership articles and video for placement across a variety of earned and shared media platforms.
Monitor competitor activity and make strategic recommendations.
Skills & Competencies
This role must be filled by an outstanding professional, passionate about communications, with a keen interest in learning and delivering results.
The role requires a minimum eight (8) years’ experience. Some of this time should have been in an in-house role or a leading communications agency.
Experience of working within a global enterprise and counselling senior management in a dynamic environment are essentials and a high degree of personal initiative, leadership, collaboration and written communication skills are required.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of how technology is shaping and advancing the everyday lives of individuals as well as organisations – and demonstrated skills in applying that understanding to successful communications.
Excellent media relationships and success in placing stories.
Degree qualification is not required, however, the candidate must demonstrate drive, initiative, common sense and a get-up-and-go attitude to be successful in this role.
Fluency in Business English is a requirement.

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle

Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns, exercising judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for best practice / creative solution. As a recognized authority and leading contributor maintain regular interface between the division and Corporate. Plan and manage pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Manage tier 2 local advertising and arrange sign off with Corporate. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Oversee partner advertising. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. A proven track record in advertising across line-of-business and/or geography as an account manager, with experience of creative production and media buying.
